If you’re female and you ski or snowboard, you already know the most difficult thing about the sport – finding other females with which to ski and board. It’s no secret that the snow world is a male-dominated one, and ‘keeping up with the boys’ can quickly get old.

Sometimes it’s time to immerse yourself in a fun crew of ladies who love powder, après fun and snowy adventures just as much as you do. But where to find this crew when you have limited time and limited annual leave for ski holidays?

GT is GIRLSTREK, a women’s-only, fully hosted, small group tour company run by the powerhouse that is Frith Hudson-Graham. Frith has joined forces with snow travel expert Rachel Cleary to create GT SKI. Rachel’s the GT in-house travel specialist and winner in the 2018 National Travel Industry Awards.

Having skied since she was 10 and worked for Thredbo for eight years with the sales and marketing team, Rachel knows her stuff, and guarantees a great trip with awesome skiing and boarding, great food, wine, accommodation and plenty of laughs along the way.

March ski madness at Panorama, Canada

Join the Girls Trek ski trip from March 9-15 2019 and reconnect with yourself and other women who love to ski and snowboard in a rockstar British Columbia location.

Who’s it for?

If you’re a mum and you’re always planning your ski trips around what the family wants – this is for you. If you’re exhausted from that endless daily grind of work, cook, exercise, socialise, work more, sleep – this is for you.

If the idea of a week of champagne and canapes, delicious dinners, snowmobiling and snowshoeing, and epic skiing and riding with a bunch of new friends appeals to you – this is for you. And if you’re really sick of organising every single element of your holidays, this is especially for you. On this trip, all you need to do is show up, ski and relax (and drink champagne, of course.)

What’s included?

Your trip includes six nights in a deluxe apartment hotel, a five day lift pass to Panorama Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada, plus an evening snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice-skating, a visit to Banff, a pre-trip SkiFit Training program, 10 meals and nightly champagne by the fire.

Why Panorama?

This beautiful resort has been flying under the radar for the last few years, building up their terrain, infrastructure and activity offerings, and is now quickly becoming a favourite among those in the know.

With an intimate vibe, 2975 acres of terrain covering off a wide variety of runs, and their former heli ski terrain now open and accessible with just a hike and a chairlift or even a cat ride, you can easily find 750 acres of ungroomed, powdery paradise to lap until your legs feel like they’re about to fall off.

Did we mention 1300m of vertical, ski-in ski-out accommodation, and heli skiing on offer that also stops at a summit hut for cheese and chocolate fondue? Sounds like our kind of place.

The GT trip makes the most of Panorama while also catering for whatever you’ve come for – first to last lifts, hot tub time, or something in between.

How much?

$3999 (twin share traveller) or $5098 (solo own room traveller). Just be warned that there are very limited spots left on this intro price!

Don’t stress if you don’t have a friend to bring with you – the program can pair you up with someone if you prefer to do a twin share room, or you can opt to go solo and make friends along the way.

Rachel will organise your flights, insurance, gear hire and lessons if you need them. And if you can’t get enough of the snow – or you need to book that family ski holiday after all – don’t worry, Rachel can assist you in planning your other adventures too.
