Snowsbest.com talks all things Perisher with the CEO of Vail Resorts, Rob Katz. Will Lindsey Vonn be training down under?

If you’ve been missing in snow action the past month then here’s the update. Vail Resorts bought Perisher in Australia for AU$176.6 million on March 31 and the Australian ski world went mad and the Kiwis got nervous.

But what does it all mean?

We did a call out on our Facebook page for questions to ask Vail Resorts CEO when he touched down in Australia this week. You wanted to know how he plans to invest in Perisher, whether we’ll get Beaver Creek style cookies, will the community be looked after, will we get a new village, new chairlifts, will Lindsey be training down under and more.

This is what he had to say.

  1. Mountain Biking at Perisher would be amazing. From the main quad it would open up amazing runs down Pretty Valley, Happy Valley and straight down the guts, not to mention taking riders out to some of the fire trails around Guthega and Blue Cow. It would be a great win for Perisher and the local businesses to be 365.
