If you’re heading to any northern hemisphere ski areas this winter then get excited because the USA, Canada and Europe are already off to a rocking start with some big snow falls.

While a handful are already open, others have hastened their opening day with both Breckenridge and Keystone turning their lifts this week from November 7. Eldora in Colorado is opening 9 days early and 6 resorts will be open by this weekend.

With five foot of snow, who can blame them?

breckenridge
Breckenridge! Colorado.

Some skiers can’t wait for the lifts and have already been hiking or ski touring to get their first turns of the season.

We’re not salivating, you are. But we don’t blame you with images and footage flooding our social feeds to make anyone lie down and sob at the thought of fresh powder ahead.

Don’t hate Scott Bellow just because we do. Why? This, just this, at Vail yesterday.

We may as well add @colterjh to the list because, well, he did this in Aspen Colorado and forgot to take us with him. Waaaahhhhhh!

The crew at Silverton have been sneaking in some cheeky turns since the last snow storm on October 5 and now, a month later, they’re doing it again.

Not to be out done, Jackson Hole is looking mighty fine in Wyoming right now.

Meanwhile in Canada

It’s snowing at Big White.

AND Banff Sunshine Village is opening this Friday! So get excited. We are.
