As the dust settles on Vail Resorts decision to pull the pin on the chairlifts at Hotham and Falls Creek until at least August 19, both Baw Baw and Dinner Plain have revealed their operational plans during the Melbourne lockdown and state border closures.

The two boutique Victorian resorts are open for regional travellers while Melbournians are restricted from travel for the next six weeks.

Dinner Plain Alpine Village will remain open with many businesses still operating including hotels, cafes, restaurants and more.

The resort revealed the list of who is open, on their Facebook this morning.

Meanwhile, Mt Baw Baw have announced they will open on weekends from July 12 onwards with ski lifts running subject to snow conditions, cross country ski trails, toboggan and snow play and the Village Central Restaurant.

Visitors are to pre-purchase resort entry and lift passes online prior to travel. Capacity limits apply and guest services will be open daily from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Overnight stays for visitors are only available at private lodge accommodation providers. Advance bookings required. During week days all lifts and trails will remain closed and there will be limited take away food and beverage services at the Village Central Cafe.

These operations will be monitored and reviewed while current restrictions are in effect until 19 August 2020 and as snow conditions change.
