We know you’re itching to get booking your next Japanese getaway for next season when travel bans will hopefully have lifted, and we know you’ll want to go somewhere that’s equally as fun for the grommets as it is for the grown-ups – because, let’s face it, you’ve earned it.
So how about wide-open, uncrowded slopes, along with more than nine metres of light and dry powder each season?
Plus terrain for all levels of skiers and boarders, easy to access and with a whole lot of perks for both little kids and big kids.
Oh, AND free flowing bubbles and wine for Kiwi and aussie adults and soft drinks for their kids.
Yes, you read that right.
Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU in Hokkaido are kicking off the 2021/2022 season bookings with some incredible promotions along with refund guarantees to get you booking with confidence in these Covid travel times.
Here’s five reasons why you should take advantage of their earlybird deals.
The whole family will love it
Really, the place is like Disneyworld on Ice. Think the convenience and entertainment of a cruise ship, but on the snow – complete with direct ski-in-ski-out access, an 80 metre indoor pool, an Ice Village complete with a wedding chapel, whiskey bar, and ice rink.
Not enough for you? There’s also an activity centre with snowmobiling, snow rafting, banana boat and cross country skiing.
When your littlies are done on the slopes, they’ll be flocking to the Mina Mina Beach indoor complex – the kind of thing that has to be seen to be believed. There’s no sand here to get into the swimmers, it’s all tiled floor with waves sets crashing through every 15 minutes, plus inflatable swans to rent and gender-segregated onsens.
You’ll have worked up an appetite after all that excitement, but don’t worry. You’ll find over 20 restaurants covering everything from buffets to luxury dining, all interconnected by a walking tunnel network or free bus shuttle. It’s even possible to ski through restaurant alley, hotalu street. Or find a cafe serving AllPress coffee for the Aussies in need of a caffeine fix.
Then you can go wander the Ice Village with the entire family. Complete with sculptures, a wedding chapel, a whisky bar with ice glasses, an ice rink and even an ice hotel, each night in the Ice Village ends with a short fireworks display to make every night feel like it’s the best holiday of all time.
Free refunds guaranteed
By booking now, you’ll lock in daily breakfast and daily lift tickets included, plus access to world-class facilities and you’re valid for a full refund with no fees up to 22 days before departure, so your booking is Covid secure.
Free booze and free flowing drinks
You read that correctly. Complimentary bubbles, wine and soft drinks are all provided for you when booking early for the 2021/2022 ski season at Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU.
The deal is exclusive to travellers from Australia and New Zealand, giving you free-flowing drinks throughout the duration of your stay. Because, again, after the time we’ve all had, you’ve earned it.
It’s easy to get to
Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU sits just a ninety minute coach ride from Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport, so it’s easy to access. Pre-COVID there were a number of airlines flying direct to New Chitose, including Qantas, so it’ll be interesting to see what pops up once flight bookings begin to re-open.
It’s still relatively unknown among Aussies, although they’re growing in numbers through the school holiday period. However, as Tomamu is prone to colder temperatures than some of the other famous Hokkaido resorts, you might even like to visit in March for good snowfalls and milder temperatures.
Prices include accommodation, breakfast, lift passes
Hoshino Resorts operates Tomamu The Tower, often considered the centrepiece of the resort. There’s also RISONARE Tomamu, the luxury Hoshino Resorts brand where the suites are enormous and come complete with private spa baths, saunas, and living space.
Choose from either, as both have ski-in-ski-out access which is great for family members wanting to return early from the slopes.
