Winter is well and truly drunk, munted, off it’s head and shooting up unicorns in Australia right now with over 20 centimetres of powder snow sending the snow internet into a frenzy down under.

December 1 is the official first day of summer in the antipodes and Ullr spent the day sprinkling white flakes upon the alpine regions of Australia. Clearly not satisfied with a dusting, Ullr then went full feral with after dark dumpage.

By this morning Australia’s ski resorts were looking like mid winter on resort cams and southern social feeds were filled with snow laden gumtrees and confused kangaroos.

Falls Creek in Victoria were calling 25 centimetres with more snow falling today. 

It’s official, summer is on strike in the alpine mountains. Here’s a selection of videos and images to prove it.
