The New South Wales Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, has announced a two week stay at home order for Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Blue Mountains and Wollongong from 6pm today until midnight on Friday, July 9.

Residents may only leave home for four reasons – essential work or education, seek medical attention, exercise outdoors or for care and compassionate grounds.

Skiers and snowboarders in the lockdown areas will have to wait until July 10 to travel to the snow fields.

However, those that are already in the snow fields must also adhere to the updated lockdown restrictions. If you have been in the lockdown areas since June 21 and are now in regional areas of the state, including the Snowy Mountains, you must isolate for 14 days and adhere to the same stay at home orders. This is to stop regional seeding events.

Those living and working in regional New South Wales can have no more than five visitors in their home. All regional hospitality venues must be seated and capacity for outdoor events has now been reduced to 50% capacity. Masks are compulsory in indoor non-residential venues and the four square metre rule now applies for indoor and outdoor settings.

For updated restrictions visit the NSW Health website which will soon be updated with all June 26 updated details.

More to come.
