Could we be in for a 2 metre spring snow storm in Australia?

SNOW ALERT: It’s the first day of Spring and some forecasters are calling up to two metres of snow on the way for Australian resorts. Snowy McSpring Face is alive and kicking in Snowtember.

First there was the threat of snow, then there was the real snow, then there was the second blizzard and now there’s a third that threatens to continue the whole way through to next Sunday and beyond.

Wunderground.com has over a possible metre of snow heading to Falls Creek over 10 days.

Snow-forecast.com is calling for one centimetre short of a hundred with 99 centimetres over 9 days.

The usually conservative forecaster, Pete The Frog Taylor, from Snowatch.com.au is going LARGE with a possible 190 centimetres over the next 14 days. That’s 10 centimetres short of 2 metres. If this comes off then this is one for the record books.

Weatherzone.com are going a more conservative route with 72 centimetres on their forecast cards.

Will the resorts extend the season? We surely hope so. This has certainly been the season that just keeps on giving in Australia.
