Australia wins gold and bronze at Lake Placid FIS World Cup

It’s a big day for Australia on the FIS World Cup circuit at Lake Placid today with gold and bronze in the moguls.

Rising star, Jakara Anthony, continued her impressive season with her first FIS World Cup gold medal. The fourth place PyeongChang Olympics mogul skier won silver at the FIS World Cup in Taiwoo China in December. Her first World Cup podium. 

French mogul skier and PyeongChang Olympic gold medalist, Perrine Lafont, took silver behind Anthony at Lake Placid with American Tess Johnson in third place.

Australian Olympic silver medalist, Matt Graham, secured his first FIS World Cup podium of the season at Lake Placid with a third place win behind Walter Wallberg from Sweden in second place and Benjamin Cavet from France in first place.

Mogul king, Mikael Kingsbury (the most accomplished mogul skier of all time) missed the podium for the first time this season, finishing fifth.
