Take your dog to the snow in Australia this winter

Most Aussie ski fields have traditionally been a dog free zone due to national park restrictions.

But one savvy winter photographer has come up with a woof-derful way for your yuppy puppy to experience the powder and for you to join in.

Melbourne-based photographer Kerry Martin has turned the town of Dinner Plain near Hotham in the Victorian snowfields into a unique photographic destination for families wanting some special one-of-a-kind pictures of Fido this winter. Just rock on up with your pup and prepare to get papped by Kerry on one of her snow dog retreats throughout August.

Families stay in dog friendly accommodation and let their four legged friend go wild in the snow without fear of National Park fines.  If you plan on skiing up the road at Hotham then Kerry can organise dog sitting too.

Of course if you bring Prince or Princess along then it will cost you, but only the best for your poochie poochie poo, right? From $3950 for a couple and their dawg or from $4550 for a family of four plus Fido including the full photo shoot.

This includes two nights in a dog house, sorry, a luxury dog friendly house, all meals, dog registration for Dinner Plain, a guided walk, a snow photography session for your family with your dog/s and professional editing, photography artwork and more.

Want in? Then check out Kerry Martin’s website for more.

  1. Wow! That is expensive! Mawson the Husky is going to have to start earning some money if he wants to come to the snow with us! I’ve been dreaming about buying a place in the mountains and starting this kind of business for a while, but haven’t got the resources – or a partner willing to take the risk of such a career change! It’s good to see an option out there for people who want to take their dogs to the snow… good luck to Kerry.
