The new Jackson Hole ski school lodge opening this winter

    Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole lovers, listen up. Your favourite resort just got even better with the addition of a brand new building called Solitude Station, a full-service lodge which will combine a new base for their Mountain Sports School, along with rental and dining facilities. In short, it’ll be paradise for both adult beginners and kids learning how to ski and snowboard.

The new lodge will be completed for the upcoming 2018/19 season, and includes a new covered conveyor surface lift, top-notch ski instructors and a state-of-the-art facility all accessed by a quick gondola ride on the Sweetwater Gondola from the base of the mountain.

When the skiing day is over, the building is also family-friendly for the ultimate après experience. The lodge has been designed with individual spaces for adults and children, making it unique in the ski industry and allowing for a comfortable environment for every age group and ability.

All guests looking to access Solitude Station can do so via a private line at the Sweetwater Gondola. This exclusive Mountain Sports School line will open at 8am, to allow guests to start purchasing lessons and rental equipment for the day before the mountain opens.

No lift ticket is required when wearing street shoes, so friends and family members of people in lessons can access Solitude Station to watch their progress and enjoy the lodge.

An artist’s rendering of Solitude Station

Upon exiting the Sweetwater Gondola, guests are welcomed into Solitude Station in an inviting lobby staffed with Mountain Sports School experts. In the first building lift tickets, lessons and rental equipment can all be purchased in one easy transaction; from there, your day on the slopes with the friendly Mountain Sports School staff begins.

The two distinct dining rooms are decked out with fireplaces and expansive windows facing out to the learning center outside, providing separate spaces for kids and adult lessons to break and refuel with high quality food and beverage options. These rooms and the exterior patio also make for great locations to watch your children learning to ski and snowboard, or take a break from your day on the slopes.

It’s the ultimate spot for those who don’t ski but would still like to enjoy seeing their kids take their first turns on snow.

Adult beginners will also love Solitude Station as a new center for learning and growing with a comfortable lodge environment, well out of the base area bustle.
