Elbow’s out because here we are, again. ALDI ski and snow sale time.
This year the team at ALDI are celebrating 20 years of Aussie snow gear special buys and they’re going all out with faux designer style outerwear with Temu pricing. Ok, not Temu, more Shein but with substance. Is that even possible? We think so, as the new range offers different outerwear elements that’s waterproof to 12,000mm, breathable to 10,000(g/m?/24hr) and base layers made from Merino.
When’s the sale you ask? Saturday May 17 so as not to clash with a certain election. I mean you’re not going to get a Democracy Sausage in the ALDI queue are you?
This year there’s 65 products in the snow range and the press release informs us that you can kit yourself out for less than $264 if you’re an adult and $182.90 if you’re a kid. Though if you’re a kid with $182.90 then you’re practically a gazillionaire in the canteen line.
The press release also says the new “Waist-Belted Ladies’ Snowsuit ($79.99) looks like it’s come direct from the runway to the middle aisle”. No kidding.
Take a look at this Parry Suit (AUD$1799) from Dutch luxury ski brand Goldbergh and then take a look at the new ALDI snowsuit. Just saying.

This SKI sweater below might also look familiar. French brand Perfect Moment (founded in Chamonix) put it on the farshun map in recent years and it still sells today in 100% merino wool with many colour ways for AUD$580.
But at ALDI you can get your own for merino blend version for AUD$39.99 and you can even have it branded with ALDI to show your dedication.

Ski and snowboard jackets start from AUD$59.99 and are built for Aussie snow conditions should the weather turn damp. Kids snow suits start at AUD$39.99 and for your tweens you can grab a snow jacket and pants together for under AUD$70.
Base and mid layers include Merino Thermal Underwear (from AUD$24.99) and glove liners ($11.99 each), socks ($9.99 each) and adult tanks ($19.99 each).
Remember you’re not going to get the full tech kit and caboodle that premium dedicated snow brands offer that purely focus on all things skiing and snowboarding with years of research and development.
But you are going to help keep the cost of a snow trip down, especially for first timers, and cost + skiing is an equation none of us want to see the results of in our bank account.
