Australia’s loved mogul skiing sensation, Britt Cox, won Outstanding Woman In Sport at the 2017 Women’s Health Women in Sport Awards last night.

The country’s leading sportswomen walked the red carpet at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. Britt has been training in Zermatt in Switzerland this week for the upcoming FIS World Cup season and the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in 2018 and was unable to attend the event personally as she was in transit from Europe to Australia. Because, well, training.

“To be awarded the Women’s health Australia outstanding achievement award feels really special. I was stoked just to be nominated alongside Sally, Emma, Isis, Sam and Rhiannan, who have each had some incredible performances this year” Britt told SnowsBest after the win.

“It’s been a very exciting year for women’s sport in Australia across the board. I think it’s an exciting time to be a female athlete in Australia.”

She completed a sensational competition season last northern winter, holding onto the yellow bib throughout, winning the FIS World Cup Crystal Globe at the end of the season and also winning the FIS World Cup Championships. Her season was rewarded last night with the Australian Federal Government Award for Outstanding Woman in Sport.
