If you’re at work reading this you may need to look away. Unless you’re a masochist, then please, step right on in and let me beat you with powder porn. You will sob. With over a metre of fresh powder snow since Thursday evening, it’s guaranteed.

The day of the season, the day of the decade, the day of the century. Whatever you want to call it, today was a good day for those lucky enough to find themselves in Australia’s ski resorts in New South Wales and Victoria. Yesterday wasn’t bad, but today, well today was primo.

I could go on about the major snow event that showed up Thursday evening and is still, by all accounts, happening with snow still falling from the sky. Today was definitely the day as over 45 centimeters of snow fell from 2pm yesterday to 6am this morning meaning first tracks were on, big time on.

Once you dug yourself out. This was Mid Perisher Station.

Meanwhile in the car park. Dude, where’s my car?

It was game on for those on skis and snowboard. This was Hotham. Clearly a terrible day, quite horrendous really.

Perisher in New South Wales were also having a total shocker. They really should have just stayed in bed.

Thredbo was calling 115cms from the storm at 7am this morning. Then it snowed some more. All day.

Mick Hopkins at Charlotte Pass just spend the night pushing snow around like a child with a Tonka Truck in a sand pit. A metre deep and then some.

Meanwhile Instagram blew up when Australian skiers and boarders broke the snow internet.
