68th Warren Miller film Line of Descent had its Australian premier at The Orpheum in Cremorne last night with Shaun White on stage.

Legendary film maker, Warren Miller, died in January this year and tonight’s screening featured a moving tribute to Miller, reflecting on the person he was and his adventurous inner spirit that has inspired skiers and boarders for decades. T

Three time Olympic gold medalist, Shaun White, in Sydney to promote his August Air + Style event, greeted audience members with a few words to support Disabled Wintersports Australia.

Shaun also met with Disabled Wintersport athlete & Australian Paralympic co-captain & opening ceremony flag bearer Joany Badenhorst to draw attention to DWA efforts and their fundraising with CLIF bar.

“Tonight was such a fun night! It’s always incredible when people from all around get together and share a united passion for snow” said Badenhorst at the event.

Jess McMillan from Jackson Hole features in Line of Descent and also presented at tonight’s Australian premiere. Jess said that she “is so stoked to meet so many people so fired up winter”

Line Of Descent took Australian movie goers on a journey through mountains from British Columbia in Canada to France, Montana to Colorado and California in the USA to Norway and New Zealand. Movie goers had the chance to win prizes from Fireball, CLIF Bar, Hotham and XO bags.

The film will now continue screening in Sydney until Sunday then following onto Melbourne, Bright, Albury, Canberra, Avoca Beach, Adelaide, Sorento, Geelong, Newcastle, Shell Harbour, Rosebud, Perth, Brisbane, Ballarat, Hobart, Launceston, Gold Coast, Noosa, Coffs Harbour and Broome.
