Mammoth avalanches in Italy and France this week

Two days, two avalanches, both rated 4 out of 5 on the avalanche scale. Translated? These slides were deadly and they covered two ski towns in powder clouds. So it’s a miracle no one died.

With a dry start to the season followed by some heavy storms these avalanches were just waiting to happen.

This happened in France in the town of Bessans.

Then this happened in Cervinia.

Stay safe out there people.
