The Remarkables opening day has been brought forward a few days to Wednesday 23 June.

The mountain will open in stages, beginning with the three surface conveyors running to access to the learner slopes from Wednesday.

Ski Area Manager Ross Lawrence said the team would keep working hard to get more of the mountain open through the weekend.

“The snowmaking team has done a great job setting up a good base and we are hoping to get some natural snowfall later in the week so will look to open up more terrain as we can.”

Beginner lessons will be available for those learning to ski or snowboard and the café will be open with a limited offering. Guests will be able to catch the Express Ski Bus, hire rental equipment and shop at the retail store on mountain too.
