Australian pro freerider, Andrea Hagen (née Binning), and her Norwegian pro skier husband Stian Hagen competed in the most elite big mountain events during their competitor careers.

Andrea, started as an alpine racer then mogul skier, went on to win the World Extreme Skiing Championships in Valdez Alaska and the Red Bull Snow Thrill in Chamonix.

Stian, now a UIAMG Mountain Guide in Chamonix, had a similar big mountain career filming with the big guns at Matchstick Productions.

They met and fell in love in the French Alps where all good love stories bloom.

When Andrea fell pregnant they asked themselves, how much would they need to change their lives in order to raise a family? Turns out, not much.

Camila and Aksel, now aged nine and twelve, joined their parents in a year long filming journey documenting their extraordinary freeride outdoor lives within an extreme mountain family.

The result? The Hagens, a movie directed by Jake Holland for Arc’teryx to stoke your heart. Watch it below.
