Australian surfing legend, Tom Carroll, has launched his debut Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) range, Tom Carroll Paddle Surf, created in partnership with leading SUP and surfboard company, Global Surf Industries. Channelling his decades of ocean experience into the development of the high performance range of SUP boards, Tom Carroll Paddle Surf will be available just in time for Christmas.

Drawing on first hand knowledge from years of working alongside the world’s best designers and hydrodynamic experts, Tom has teamed up with respected Hawaiian surfboard and SUP designer, Blaine Chambers, to create a range of boards that take stand up paddling to the next level.

The boards offer the very latest in innovation and performance in the SUP genre, and have been specially designed to make the most of both flat water and surf conditions

“I am super excited about the launch of these boards,” said Carroll, who in his 14 year tenure on the pro tour, racked up 26 victories, three Pipe Masters wins and two world titles.

“I can’t wait to hear the response from people after they feel the difference in performance that my new range offers.”

The Tom Carroll Paddle Surf range includes two distinct models, the Long Grain and the Loose Leaf, both crafted with unique curves and contours from the latest in material technology.

“The contours of the hull on both models are designed to urge water across the relatively large surface areas of SUP. It’s this design that offers a smoother, slicker ride for intermediate and advanced SUP users who enjoy both flat water paddling and catching waves,” Carroll explains.

Both shapes are available in a range of sizes to suit different conditions, from small longboard- inspired wave riding through to advanced SUP surfing, with no restrictions.

The Long Grain is designed to encourage a longboard style and approach to riding a SUP. Inspired by Carroll’s passion for walking up and down a longboard in small, clean waves, the distinct design offers high-volume stability without sacrificing speed and flow.

Available in 10’4” and 11’0”, this board can easily take weight up to 90kg and is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders.

Ideally suited for both flat water cruising and smooth wave riding, this is the board for all conditions and promises a SUP experience like no other.

Tom Carroll Loose Leaf

The Loose Leaf brings design and innovation together to produce a board that caters to the performance end of the SUP market.

Inspired by Carroll’s lust for riding waves with no limitations, this board provides control through efficient water flow and remarkable response, thanks to specially designed bottom curves and a more refined outline.

This shorter board is available in four lengths, from 8’0” to 9’6”, and is best suited to more advanced riders up to 90kgs.

With a keen focus on control, this SUP will make almost any wave rideable.
