This Easter the Victorian Alps plays host to the longest running polo event in Australia.

The Dinner Plain Polo presented by Castran Real Estate has been running for 34 years and is a great day out for all the family in the Victorian High Country not far from Hotham, Dinner Plain and Omeo.

The Geebung’s will battle it out agains the Cuff n Collars as they take to the polo field at Cobungra Station, Victoria’s finest and largest cattle station.

With an alpine back drop and loads of entertainment and food and drink options, it’s a really unique way to spend time in the high country.

The event was founded over a few drinks in the Dinner Plain Hotel and inspired by Banjo Patterson’s classic – “It was somewhere up the country in a land of rock and scrub, that they formed an institution called the Geebung Polo Club.”

Tickets are from $17 for children and $33 for adults and the event is all day on Sunday, April 9.
