Is another big snow storm heading to Australia?

There are some pretty big numbers being thrown around by weather sites at the moment with some forecasting over a metre of snow for Aussie resorts over the next seven days. Let’s hope they’re under promising and the predicted storm will over deliver even more.

Satellite images certainly show a large front heading our way that could dump some fresh snow but we all know weather is a temperamental beast so let’s keep snow dancing any way.

Weather website, Wunderground, is calling for a maximum of 120 + centimeters over the next 10 days for Falls Creek. But even with the minimum call of 75 centimeters we’re looking good.

Jane Bunn at Jane’s Weather was one of the only meteorologists who successfully predicted that ‘surprise powder day’ last week in Australia when she forecast 10 to 15 centimeters and voila, it appeared.

Today Jane’s going big, very big for snow forecasts for the end of this week.

If we’re lucky we could be looking at a news feed filled with pics akin to the mega blizzard of 2014. As my mother always said, we live in hope if we die in despair.
