Australia’s ski resorts are already dropping their 2027 season pass deals, keen to get skiers and boarders back on the snow train next year. It’s no secret 2026 wasn’t great, the season that dare not speak its name, with low snow fall and early closings.

It’s onwards and upwards for those wanting to get more snow under their planks next season, and do so at a discounted price, or at least the best early bird price you can get a year out. We all know the deal, you earlier you hand over the cash, the less cash you end up handing over.

First Mt Buller dropped an incentive for those wanting to buy their Season Membership in September, offering up a pair of Head Skis and the chance to win pack the cost of their pass as a prize for one September buyer. But don’t despair, it may be October 1 but their earlybird deal continues until the end of this month (just not the comp).

For $1079 (adult), $959 (19-24 and 65-69) or $549 (5-18) you could have unlimited riding at Mt Buller for 2027 plus retail, rental and dining discounts, “take, outfit and introduce” a mate vouchers, 20% off Mt Buller lodging (conditions apply). Price will increase come November 1.

Thredbo have dropped their Winter 2027 Season Pass Sale offering a $49 deposit to secure one of the limited passes with unlimited access. Prices start at $1729 (25 – 64) and $949 (5-12). New in 2027 is the introduction of a young adult pricing tier akin to Mt Buller, saving up to 20% off full adult rate. The Young Adult season pass starts from $1379.

Thredbo season pass holders also secure eight ‘bring a friend’ vouchers, discounts across retail, rental, food, beverage, Alpine Coaster and snowsports lessons. New this year, 1 Day ‘Bring a First Timer’ vouchers give up to 50% off a Friday Flat First Timer Package, making it easier for pass holders to bring a mate into the sport.

Both Mt Buller and Thredbo offer a global Ikon Pass upgrade “add-on” to their season passes.

Charlotte Pass also launched a Kosciuszko Chalet sale for 2027 today, with 30% savings on accommodation at the Chalet if booked in October this year. Stays are all inclusive and include on-snow accommodation, daily breakfast, daily three course dinner, return oversnow transport from Perisher and lift tickets.

Meanwhile the Epic Australia Pass for 2027 remains on sale for the lowest offer $1099 before the next price rise on October 14.

The pass can be secured with a $49 upfront payment deposit and gives unlimited access to Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham in Australia plus 2027/2028 season global access to 85 resorts including –  5 days at Hakuba and Rusutsu in Japan, 10 days combined lift access at Vail and Whistler, unlimited access no black-out dates to Crested Butte and Steven’s Pass and different access levels to Park City, Keystone, Breckenridge, Heavenly, NorthStar, Kirkwood and various Canadian resorts including Fernie and Kicking Horse.

Prefer Europe? Then the Epic Australia Pass gives you 5 days at Andermatt and 5 days at Crans Montana and also at Verbier. Plus 7 days at Skirama Dolomiti in Italy, 7 days at Les 3 Vallees in France, 5 days at Mayrhofen and Silvetta in Austria, 3 days in the Arlberg. Blackout dates may apply.

So, will you jump on the early bird enticements or wait to see how the season plays out next year?
