Aussie Danielle Scott wins gold at China World Cup aerials

Australia continues a winning weekend on the FIS World Cup circuit with aerial skier, Danielle Scott, scoring gold at Secret Garden in China today.

Scott who started the season as World #2 scored 100.11, beating the current World #1 from China, Mengtao Xu who scored 87.42 for silver and Kristina Spiridonova from Russia on 86.94 for third place. It was a close score for the top five with Aussie, Samantha Wells taking fifth place with 86.36, a mere .58 away from bronze.

Scott’s gold puts her in the top three in the world after the second FIS World Cup aerials of the season. Australia currently has two in the top five.

This is the second gold for Australia this weekend with Jarryd Hughes winning gold in boarder cross. Snowboarder, Scotty James, also won silver at The Dew Tour in Breckenridge Colorado.
