Mt Buller ski area delays lift start date and reveal lift ticket process

Mt Buller are still working hard to release their first stage of lift tickets tomorrow, potentially later in the day but times will be confirmed in the morning.

The first scheduled release of passes will be for June 24 to June 28.  The season opening remains June 22 but the lifts won’t turn, at this stage, until June 24.

Remember, season pass holders do not have to book dates, though they will have to book resort entry if they do not have a season parking pass.

Guests with an accommodation booking will have initial priority and if you have a booking then check your emails as you will have received an email from the resort tonight (16 June). If not, then contact your accommodation provider.

“The restriction on capacity in resort has required a complete overhaul of how lift passes are sold. The team has been working around the clock to adapt the online store” Buller wrote in an email to those with booked accommodation tonight.

“We continue to work towards an initial batch of passes going on sale tomorrow – 17 June. This may be later in the day and we will continue to communicate in the morning to confirm timing.”

Skiers and boarders are being reminded that there is currently limited snow.

Lift operations will be advised as snow conditions allow, and Mt Buller is urging skiers and boarders to consider these factors before purchase.

More passes for future weeks will be rolled out each week. The priority will be initially given to multi-day passes (2-7 days) for those with existing accommodation bookings and further sales as capacity allows.

Resort capacity is limited not only by COVID-19 restrictions but all-important snow conditions and lift operations so will be reviewed daily and weekly.

Watch this space for Buller sale times tomorrow.

UPDATE: Buller ticket sales 11.00am Thursday
