Queenstown just welcomed yet another five-star alpine resort, this time perched above the Shotover River just out of the hustle and bustle of downtown and nestled amongst mountain views.
You’ll find Coronet Ridge Resort in Arthur’s Point, the hamlet you drive through on the way to Coronet Peak or to Arrowtown. After a multi-million dollar redevelopment, the resort now boasts 41 rooms for a boutique style stay.
Architecturally designed by G2 Studio including interiors in collaboration with Furnz Group, the Coronet Ridge Resort has been crafted for quiet luxury and timeless elegance.
Each of the 41 rooms and suites feature private balconies or patios that frame the spectacular mountain vistas, while interiors showcase a sophisticated palette of warm, natural tones, bespoke timber joinery, sumptuous textures, and curated local artistry and photography.
Room types range from 37 sqm Alpine View and Shotover River View rooms (featuring three accessible rooms), to 62 sqm and 70 sqm Shotover Suites to a 70 sqm two-bedroom Coronet Suite.
You can dine in Elevation Bar & Restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views of the Wakatipu Basin, the Remarkables mountain range, and the Shotover River below. On winter evenings, the intimate Library Bar beckons with its fireplace, where guests can sip single malt whiskies and world-class wines from Central Otago’s internationally celebrated vineyards.
The resort’s leisure amenities include a Roman-inspired day spa, outdoor hot tubs, a premium fitness centre, squash courts, and an exclusive private cinema for relaxed entertainment.
Signature day spa treatments include the three-hour head-to-toe ‘The Ridge Journey’ featuring full-body exfoliation, hydrating body wrap, a 75-minute full-body massage and facial using New Zealand made botanical and organic skincare by RAAIE and Corbin Rd. All spa treatments include complimentary access to the indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room.
Entry level room rates start from NZS$835 per night including breakfast.
