You’ve got to hand it to the snow makers, the groomers, mountain ops, lifties every year. Especially this year when snow has been lean and temps have been warm.

Hotham Alpine Resort made the decision today to close Heavenly Valley for the season after 68 days of the lifts spinning.

“With warm temps and rain, we can no longer safely keep it spinning. Snow currently on the slopes in this area will be pushed down to Slalom Gully to ensure we can keep the Village Loop running as long as possible,” said Hotham today on social media.

“We remain committed to keeping as much terrain open, as safely as possible, for as long as we can throughout our final month of operations.”

There were some great days on HV this season and we hope you managed to score some of those days.
