Ski for free at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows in California

The 2017-18 Tahoe Super Pass is now on sale starting at $499, with free spring skiing starting April 1 at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, the Spring Skiing Capital™.

Thanks to record snowfall this season, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows will be open into June and on July 4, marking only the fourth time in the last 50 years that the resort has reopened for Independence Day. Spring operations will be subject to weather and conditions.

2017-18 Tahoe Super Passholders can take advantage of Tahoe’s longest season at the Spring Skiing Capital™, where live music, signature events, endless après sun decks and spring-only terrain fill the long and sun-soaked California days. Passholders from other resorts looking for more spring laps can purchase a single-day lift ticket for just $52.

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has received 654 inches, over 54 feet, of snow so far this season, and is tracking towards one of its snowiest seasons on record, ranking only behind the 2010-11 season and 1994-95 season, which saw 810 inches and 662 inches of cumulative snowfall, respectively.

January 2017 broke the resort’s record for snowiest month with 282 inches, beating out March 2011 at 241 inches. Pacing 200 inches ahead of its average annual snowfall of 450 inches, the 2016-17 season at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has been a historic one, with months left to go in the season.

Skiers and riders looking to take advantage of the long season can purchase their Tahoe Super Pass today and ski free this spring starting April 1. Purchase now in order to secure the best price possible, with prices set to go up after April 18.

Gold Tahoe Super Passholders will receive unlimited 50% off tickets at the other 15 Mountain Collective resorts, including Alta, Aspen Snowmass, Banff Sunshine, Coronet Peak/The Remarkables, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Lake Louise, Mammoth Mountain, Revelstoke, Snowbasin, Snowbird, Sugarbush, Sun Valley, Taos, Telluride and Thredbo. Gold and Silver Passholders will again receive the Worry-Free Guarantee, eligible for up to four days’ worth of credit towards their 2018-19 Tahoe Super Pass if they don’t ski or ride at least five days in the 2017-18 season.

The Tahoe Super Pass offers more passholder benefits than any other Tahoe resort, including discounted Friends & Family tickets, exclusive Club TSP events, access to Dawn Patrol, discounts on dining, demo equipment, lessons, yoga and more.
