Australian Winter Olympian, freestyle snowboarder Matthew Cox from Stanwell Park, will now compete for Great Britain after completing a nation transfer this year.

The 25 year old Beijing Winter Olympian and FIS World Cup competitor qualified to transfer as a result of paternal British heritage.

The Big Air and Slopestyle competitor has three FIS World Cup and one FIS World Championship top 10 finishes and will now develop his skills further under the British team.

Cox will join Great Britain’s golden snowboard girl, Mia Brookes, who has been eating podium places for breakfast this (and last) season. Brookes is coached by Aussie legend, Mikey Williams.
