While Ullr has been sharing his love in the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps with some serious dumpage in the past week, he’s clearly forgotten his other child, North America.
We have no doubt he’ll show up soon but meanwhile many resorts set to open this week (or earlier) have delayed their openings thanks to little snow and too warm temperatures for serious snow making.
We’ve all been there, waiting for scraps from a commitaphobe is the definition of insanity, and yet, here we are. That’s the nature of the ski season in current climate times, feast or famine.
What’s a couple of weeks between projected opening and actual opening, between friends, right? December’s the new November and the forecast over the next week does show some snow incoming.
In a few weeks time we’ll have forgotten the lean start as we make New Year powder turns. Stay positive, people.
