The unlikely journey and partnership of Winter Olympians, Indigenous Australian figure skater, Harley Windsor and Russian skater Katya Alexandrovskaya, ended in tragedy with Katya’s suspected suicide at the age of 20 in July 2020.

The story has been poignantly told in a detailed exposè on the world of figure skating at elite level in Australia and around the world.

Harley & Katya, the Selina Miles documentary commissioned by the ABC and produced by production house Stranger than Fiction, won the 2023 International Emmy for Best Sports Documentary this week.

The documentary is available to watch on ABC iView, and like Lydia Lassila’s Will to Fly and the Segal sisters Finding the Line, is a must watch for Australians interested in winter sports.
