The Ikon Pass announced further discounts, amended payment plans and deadline extensions for the 2020/2021 pass today in the wake of the current coronavirus crisis.

“These are the days when we are particularly grateful for all those in the Ikon Pass community who share our passion and enthusiasm for winter, and we want to acknowledge our appreciation and gratitude by doubling 20/21 renewal discounts and offering some of the lowest prices since we launched Ikon Pass,” said Erik Forsell, Chief Marketing Officer, Alterra Mountain Company in a press release promoting the changes.

The Ikon Pass and Ikon Base Pass renewal discount has now doubled and the current spring price deadline has been extended from April 22 to May 26 before pass price increases. The payment plan option has also been extended until August 1.

This is good news for those looking to renew or purchase a new Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass that include 41 global mountain destinations including USA, Japan, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Skiers and snowboarders in Australia and New Zealand can use their pass days in both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

So, should there not be a southern season in 2020 in Australia or New Zealand, you can still use it overseas when travel restrictions lift to Japan, USA, Canada or Europe, and it is then still valid for the 2021 southern season. If there is a season then you can still split your days between both.

Those who have a 2019/2020 Ikon Pass can now expect even bigger discounts if purchased by May 26. The renewal discount has doubled from $100 to $200 per pass with prices starting from US$799. The same goes for the Ikon Base Pass renewal discount which is now $100 with pass price starting from US$599.

Pass holders who already renewed their Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass for the 20/21 winter season prior to April 14, 2020 are entitled to receive this additional renewal discount and will be contacted by Ikon Pass.

Ikon Pass holders can also take advantage of an interest-free payment plan now until August 1, 2020 (previously available through April 22, 2020), with a $199USD non-refundable deposit and four monthly payments, subject to certain terms and conditions.

The Child Pass Promotion is also extended through May 26, 2020 (previously April 22, 2020), providing additional value for families looking to ski and ride together. Ikon Pass holders can purchase up to two discounted Child Ikon Passes or Child Ikon Base Passes for children ages 5-12 with the purchase of an Adult Ikon Pass or Adult Ikon Base Pass. New renewal discounts apply.
