Snow, snow, snow. That’s what’s on the cards for Australia’s thirsty ski season. But just how much is about to dump?

There’s an excited tension hanging in the air at Australia’s ski fields right now. Word from the forecasters is some serious and much needed snow is on the way from Friday this week with Victorian resorts set to get the best of the cold front. Those pesky High Pressure systems that have pounded South East Australia are finally giving way to a Low.

Meteorologist and forecaster, Jane Bunn, from Jane’s Weather is calling 10 – 15cms of snowfall for Friday and 25 – 40cms for Saturday.

Pete Taylor at Snowatch.com.au is predicting up to 58cms to fall from Friday to Monday.

Whichever weather model you follow, they all agree, snow is on it’s way and that’s a good thing. Bring on the blizzard and all that comes with it.
