Hokkaido powder resort, Kiroro, sold last year to Club Med owners and will officially open its doors as a Club Med resort this coming season.

Opening on 15 December 2022, Club Med Kiroro, Hokkaido will offer an all inclusive holiday offering with access to some of Japan’s best powder with up to 21 metres of snowfall a season.

The new Club Med Kiroro will be a takeover and combination of two existing properties to create one integrated snow resort with two distinctive buildings, just a 3-minute buggy ride or a short gondola ride apart.

Conducted in two phases, Club Med Kiroro Peak will open this December followed by Club Med Kiroro Grand in 2023. With the opening of both buildings, Club Med Kiroro will offer close to 400 guest rooms during the peak winter season.

Designed for couples and families with teenagers, Club Med Kiroro Peak has a minimum age access of 12 years old while Club Med Kiroro Grand houses a wide host of family-oriented activities and facilities suitable for all ages. Aprés ski the Hokkaido way as Club Med Kiroro Grand also boasts a 100% hot spring water natural onsen, a cedar-wood sauna and a stone sauna that encapsulate an oriental design.

Guests will be able to make a reservation for Club Med Kiroro Peak as soon as early August 2022.

The ski-in-ski-out resort, 90 minutes from Chitose Airport, offers snow enthusiasts direct access to an untouched ski domain with 23 courses for all levels and pristine off-piste ski slopes, providing avid skiers an unparalleled backcountry exploration across both the Asari and Nagamine mountains.

To celebrate the opening of its brand new Japan resort, Club Med will offer Australian guests, special introductory rates on dates across the resort’s first season.

From today and for a limited time, Club Med is offering a 7-night stay from AUD $2734 per adult (save $1166) with discounts applied on travel dates from 15 December 2022 to 30 April 2023.
