A massive avalanche has buried multiple cars on Highway 91 just south of Copper Mountain in Colorado this afternoon, USA time.

The Colorado State Patrol have revealed the avalanche to be 15 feet deep and covering 300 feet of the roadway. While four vehicles were buried, and one reported to be thrown upside down, no injuries have been reported.

The CO 91 will remain closed overnight as the natural avalanche occurred during high avalanche danger conditions across the snow regions of Colorado today. Colorado Department of Transport reported the avalanche occurred on Resolute Cliff, “a path that has never run before”.

Colorado State Patrol have also revealed there have been multiple avalanches in the same area today.
