The team at Hoshino Resorts are psyched for the season ahead with the launch of the new NEKOMA Mountain thanks to a lift that will connect the former Alts Bandai and Nekoma Snow Park and Resort.

The two resorts in the Fukushima Prefecture on the main island of Hoshu sit on opposite sides of the mountain and have, until this season, been disconnected.

The 810 metre long, two seater lift will traverse the ridge of Mount Nekomagadake and connect Mekoma with Alts Bandai. It will take seven minutes by lift and the new NEKOMA resort will offer a combined area of 189 hectares of skiable terrain.

NEKOMA will now be referenced as the Bandai Area (former Alts Bandai) and the Urabandai Ares (former Nekoma Snow Park and Resort).

Bandai boasts intermediate trails and stunning Lake Inawashiro views and Urabandai uber light dry powder snow and more advanced terrain offerings.
