Watch: A guide to armchair judging the moguls finals

So you want to watch the Aussies in the moguls final tonight but you don’t know a d spin from a pivot? Never fear we asked tonight’s Olympic judge, Zoe Jaboor for her pointers on what to look for in a good (and bad) mogul run so you, too, can sound like a pro.

Bottom line

“It’s out of 100 points. The 60 points are given to the quality of the turn, 20 points are given to the quality of the jumps and 20 points are awarded for speed. To achieve max turns points you need to have excellent upper body (be still), excellent absorption and extensions (skis staying in contact with the snow the whole way down so the knees go up and down), and have excellent carving” – Zoe Jaboor.
