In an Aussie first, snowsports lovers will have unprecedented access to watch the Winter Youth Olympic Games live.

It’s good news for winter sports with a 47 strong Australian team, the biggest-ever, and 24 athletes competing across alpine skiing, cross country skiing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding.

The action from Gangwon in South Korea will be streamed live on Stan Sport and across the Nine Network.

The Opening Ceremony takes place on Friday January 19 and events run through to Thursday February 1.

The fourth edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games will see talented athletes from all over the world compete across seven sports, 15 disciplines and 81 events.

Daily highlight packages will be shown on 9Go! or 9Gem, and 9Now – as well as Australia-specific highlights on 9Now.

A daily highlights show will also be available on 9Go! from Sunday 21 January to Friday 2 February.

The Opening Ceremony is on 9Go! live and exclusive on Friday at 9.55pm AEDT and repeated the following day. The Closing Ceremony is on 9Gem live and exclusive on Thursday 1 February 1 9.55pm AEDT.
