Australian aerial skier Laura Peel has taken silver at the FIS World Cup in Russia this morning.

The fourth aerials event of the World Cup season was held under lights in Moscow.

Canberra local, Peel, qualified fourth for the finals and took first place in the first final with a back lay tuck full and a score of 98.68. She backed it up in the second final with a back full tuck full and a score of 91.42 to claim second place.

PyeongChang Winter Olympic champion, Hanna Huskova from Belarus, took gold with 95.46 and Sofia Alekseeva from Russia, bronze with 76.56.  

Peel holds her third place cup standing for the season with three more World Cup events to go in Belarus, Kazhakstan and Russia.
