Would you ski race a fast car down a mountain covered in snow? Stein Eriksen did and there’s a video to prove it.

The ski world lost another great this last week when the forever stylish Olympic gold medalist, Stein Eriksen, passed away aged 88.

Credited with creating ‘aerials’ Eriksen also won gold in the giant slalom and a silver in the slalom at the 1952 Winter Olympics. He also won three gold medals at the 1954 World Championships.

The Norwegian spent his post competition years ski instructing at Sugarbush, Aspen, Snowmass, Heavenly, Park City and finished his days as director of skiing at Deer Valley.

But before then he did this…

Hands up if you’re keen to do the same. Wonder which resort would allow it in 2016.

Rest in peace and powder, Stein Eriksen.
