Discounted luxe accommodation for Aussies in Vail

The Kardashians lay their coiffed heads and pouting lips on the designer linen at this hotel in Vail and you can too with 10% off for Aussies staying 10 days or longer.

We missed Kim and Kanye by a day last weekend in Vail. Not that our paths would have collided, them being in the six bedroom penthouse at Solaris Residences and all. Our stunning three bedroom condo with mountain view in the same property may have just been slumming it for them. But not for us.

If you are considering Vail for summer or winter this year then let’s chat about Solaris. The location is bang smack in the centre of Vail village.  It is not ski in ski out, but few properties in Vail actually are.

The condo hotel has taken the sting out of this by setting up a ski valet in Bridge Street Ski Haus close to the gondola so guests can leave their skis and boots there. They also offer a shuttle from Solaris to close to the lifts if you don’t fancy walking the short five minutes.

Nobu’s Matsuhisa is the best restaurant in town and takes up a giant atrium space in the lobby of Solaris with spectacular views so you can stumble back to your condo after one too many Matsutinis.

The kids (and kidults) will love the outdoor ice rink in the plaza, the Cinebistro for the swankiest cinema experience around with a la carte dining and reclining cinema chairs and ‘bol’ for ten pin bowling with a cocktail bar. Did we mention the best coffee on the front range, Yeti’s Grind, is also in the building?

Accommodation starts with one bedroom plus den and goes up to a six bedroom penthouse aka Kardashian style. All come with fully equipped kitchen and ensuites.

The deal for Aussies

The lovely Bill Marshall at Solaris is offering 10% off stays of 10 nights or more starting from US$425 (less 10%) per night for a studio den that sleeps four people to US$5500 (less 10%) for the six bedroom plus den penthouse that sleeps twelve.
