With ski season fast approaching in the Northern Hemisphere, YTL Hotels has announced it will be opening its new KASARA Niseko Village Townhouse and The Village in December this year.

The new developments will be a collection of townhouses that embody authentic Japanese charm with contemporary elegance in the heart of the award-winning Niseko Village.

Alongside this, Niseko Village is creating a premium alpine shopping, dining and entertainment village nestled a stone’s throw away from the resort’s luxurious hotels and residences. KASARA Niseko Village Townhouse and the new retail, food and beverage developments will be completed on 1 December, 2014.

Here are FIVE reasons Niseko Village will be the hottest ski resort in Japan this December.

Access to a celebrated Michelin-starred chef

Michelin-starred Austrian-German chef Johann Lafer will be opening a brasserie to operate year round serving contemporary twists on European classics such as Wiener Schnitzel and pork knuckle. As Germany’s foremost TV celebrity chef, Johann Lafer’s trademark flair and personality will serve to enhance Niseko Village’s reputation as a culinary getaway, with the combination of Hokkaido’s world-renowned produce and his meticulous skills bringing foodies from around the world to Niseko this winter.

New luxury ski-in, ski-out townhouses

In each of the new KASARA Niseko Village Townhouses there are three bedrooms promising authentic and bespoke interior architecture that captures key Japanese design principles and views of the majestic Mount Yotei.

Hottest après ski options in Japan

After a day on the slopes, guests can relax in ultra-cool ski-in, ski-out The Green Leaf Niseko Village’s onsen, an outdoor rock pool filled by a natural volcanic hot spring, overlooking the snow-blanketed boughs of the alpine forest. If the onsen is not quite enough, travellers can also sink into a deep shiatsu massage at the Green Leaf Spa for complete therapeutic relaxation.

Dining options inspired by London and New York City

An Asiatic tapas pub inspired by cutting edge bars in London or New York City and given a rustic Hokkaido twist will provide a dynamic place to socialise, eat, drink and party the night away.

Best powder snow and unparalleled skiing conditions

Niseko Village, located on Mount Annupuri, is home to perfect white powder, challenging slopes and great visibility, and has been regularly rated as one of the top ski destinations in the world.

KASARA Niseko Village Townhouse is already taking short and long-term bookings for the 2014/15 winter season, beginning at AUD$2,140 (USD$2,000) per night for a three-bedroom townhouse. These residences will also be available for exclusive preview and immediate ownership.
