Now you can ski with 6 Olympians at Deer Valley

Deer Valley in Park City launches the Ski With a Champion program. 

For the 2016-2017 winter ski season, Deer Valley Resort is pleased to offer guests an unprecedented opportunity to hit the slopes with an Olympic athlete. Individuals, families and groups can arrange exclusive half- and full-day memorable adventures with one of six elite ski champions, hosted by Deer Valley Resort’s Ambassador of Skiing Heidi Voelker.

Champions who have made their mark in the skiing world and will share in an unforgettable #DeerValleyMoment with valued resort guests, include:

Heidi Voelker – Deer Valley Resort’s Ambassador of Skiing for 20 years, Voelker is a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Ski Team who competed for gold during three Winter Olympics and garnered six top-ten World Cup finishes, including third place in 1994. Voelker was also the 1994 National Champion in Giant Slalom and finished her illustrious racing career with a third place finish in Giant Slalom at the U.S. Nationals in 1997.

Shannon Bahrke – A silver medalist in moguls skiing at Deer Valley Resort during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, she became the first U.S. freestyle skier to win multiple Olympic medals with her bronze medal win at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. She is a three-time Olympian, 2003 Overall World Cup Champion and six-time U.S. National Champion.

Kris “Fuzz” Feddersen – In addition to coaching the 1998 U.S. Winter Olympic Aerial Ski Team, Feddersen competed in three Olympics and numerous World Championships. Recently elected to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame, he is widely recognized as a pioneer in the sport of freestyle skiing and welcomes skiers of all levels for a customizable full-mountain experience.

Kaylin Richardson – Richardson, a four-time National Alpine Champion and 10-year veteran of the U.S. Ski Team, competed in the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics. After retiring from the World Cup in 2010, Richardson became a big-mountain skier and won the Freeskiing World Tour’s North American Championship in 2012. She has been featured in five Warren Miller films, including this year’s Here, There & Everywhere.

Jillian Vogtli – Vogtli is a two-time Olympian and 13-year member of the U.S. Ski Team. She is known for her extensive success in the freestyle skiing events of moguls and dual moguls, as well as being the only woman to perform the Cork 720 during the Olympic Games.

Trace Worthington – A two-time Olympian and U.S. Ski Hall of Famer, Worthington wrapped up an impressive freestyle skiing career by earning 37 World Cup victories, seven world titles, 11 national titles and a total of 79 podium finishes on the FIS World Cup Freestyle circuit. Worthington remains the most decorated male freestyle skier in U.S. history and #2 in the world for the most victories ever in the history of men’s freestyle skiing competition.

The Ski with a Champion experience ranges from $1,200 for half-day with a champion to $2,000 for a full-day mountain excursion. Ski with a Champion can accommodate groups up to six people, with an option to add a Deer Valley Resort mountain host or ski instructor for a fee for groups larger than six. (Maximum group size is 10 people) The memorable outing is intended for skiers of intermediate ability and above.
