The under the radar ski resort of Selwyn in New South Wales opened early today – the first Aussie (and Kiwi) resort to turn their lifts for guests in 2019, beating the bigger resorts to the punch.

Mt Buller announced they would open this Saturday with free skiing and boarding as they launch their new chairlift. Perisher then announced they would open this Friday.

Now Selwyn Snow Resort is offering free skiing and boarding between now and Sunday with the new Chum Chair spinning for early bird skiers and boarders and Snowgums Cafe open for food and drinks.

Well played, Selwyn, well played.
