The ski trip of a lifetime in Nepal could be yours

The crew at Trek Climb Ski are heading to Mera Peak in Nepal this October to experience the best mountain panorama in the world and ski the Himalaya and you could join them.

Best of all, you don’t need to be an expert level extreme skier to do it. This trip on October 8 to 28 is for strong skiers and riders that want something special and SnowsBest is offering readers a 10% discount if you book before July 14.

You’ll take on a 10 day trek with their expert team to the summit of Mera Peak in the Everest region of Nepal with uninterrupted views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and Cho Oyu. Five of the world’s six highest mountains are right in front of you.

After the mandatory photos, you’ll click in and begin the most exhilarating 1500m (vertical) ski descent on the planet.

The Trek and Ski

You’ll cross rivers, ascend high passes and marvel at the spectacular views daily. Spend time in remote Sherpa villages and have a ball with the guides and porters as we approach Mera Peak.

You’ll bed down in swanky hotels and then snow tents at altitude. Then comes three days on the snow and ice as you slowly climb to the summit of Mera Peak. From the summit you’ll then ski all the way back to the Mera La with Everest in clear view.

Only a handful of skiers/snowboarders worldwide have ever experienced anything like this.

Safety

You itinerary includes plenty of days to bullet-proof your safe acclimatisation to altitude. This is a challenging high altitude trek combined with an introductory mountaineering experience.

This trip is suitable for people with no previous climbing experience. The ski descent on Mera Peak is not technical or steep. It’s actually one extremely long intermediate level run. There is no avalanche danger.

However given the varying nature of the terrain and the altitude involved, you must be a strong skier/rider to join this expedition. This is a very achievable undertaking for fit people that love a challenge. The mountaineering involved is NOT technical or steep. You will not fall off anything and you will not travel in avalanche prone terrain. You will learn all the mountaineering skills you need to know along the way.

Collectively, the team that will lead and guide this trip have around 20 Everest summits between them and more than 50 Mera Peak summits between them. Trek Climb Ski Nepal have a 100% safety record across all their trips.
