Aussie teen Valentino Guseli breaks Shaun White’s halfpipe record

Aussie snowboard teen legend, Valentino Guseli, sure is having a killer season.

First he takes top score in the qualifiers for the LAAX Open in Switzerland earlier this year, beating Scotty James no less. Did we mention it was Guseli’s first World Cup competition?

Now he’s gone and knocked Shaun White off his eleven year record breaking perch. On March 31, the day before his sixteenth birthday, Guseli took to the halfpipe with the goal of breaking the world record for the highest air out of the pipe.

Needless to say, White’s 7 metre record was broken and Guseli now holds it high with a 7.3 metre boost.
