it’s definitely Mt Buller’s season this year with new season pass benefits, an all new Kooroora pub, a new chairlift, Olympic glory and so much more.

If you haven’t skied or snowboarded at Mt Buller then this is your time. Add the Mountain Collective and Ikon Pass inclusions and you’d be a fool not to.

Here’s 9 reasons why Mt Buller is so hot right now.

New Bourke St chairlift

Hmmmmm, groomed corduroy.

It’s not long now until the new Bourke Street Express chairlift is turning. The $6 million 6 seater high speed chairlift will offer guests a faster ride up the uber groomed Bourke Street this winter. The chair replaces the old Blue Bullet quad and means less waiting in lines and more time on snow. Yay!

The partnership between Buller Ski Lifts, the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia, Ski and Snowboard Australia, Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Resort Management Board is a win win for all.

The Buller Air Zone is open to the public and includes five high performance trampolines and an uber tramp, a giant air bag, inflatable bouldering wall and a self belaying climbing wall.

The Snow Factory

Buller’s secret weapon is a good one. The Snow Factory is a TechnoAlpin SF220 Snowfactory that can continuously produce snow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at temperatures well above freezing. It is capable of generating up to 220 cubic metres of snow daily at up to 15 degrees Celsius. We all know what this means. Snow any time, any day.

Side country is also so hot right now and Mt Buller’s partner, Mt Stirling is directly accessible by XC trails (when snow conditions are right) so you can seek the peace and quiet of Australia’s snow gum forests and camp out under the stars. Backcountry ski tourers and split boarders will love the untracked lines in the Stanley bowl and Summit area accessed via Bluff Spur Trail and Howqua Gap Trail.
